Rowan,
You are 9 months and 1 week. You are amazing. You have been crawling for a little over a month and loving your new skill. About 3 weeks ago you started pulling yourself up on things and now you are learning how to go between things while standing. Your daily progress is so fun to watch. This week you are hooked on saying Mamamama, Mom and Mama. I am not sure you know what it means but you really like it. You haven't really said dada but sometimes it sounds like you are trying to say bomb bomb. You and Darrel are really good buddies, but you and bomber have yet to create a bond. We were very surprised by this. I thought for sure you and bomber were going to be hooked at the hip immediately but he seems scared of you. Darrel thinks you are really interesting and I find you two sitting together often. Today you were trying to touch your nose to his and he was just letting you do your thing.
I have been playing with you and all of your toys and today gave you a pot and spoon to bang on. I looked over because you giggled and you were sitting in the pot. It was so cute! You are very independent and you love to play and run the house. Dad just build a railing around the fireplace because your interest was beyond what I could police. This new addition is great and now you just pull yourself up and watch the flames.
You are eating like crazy with your favorites being Avocado, bread, cheese and grapes. You love to feed yourself and are starting to deny my efforts of feeding you with a spoon. Your interest in books is growing which is really fun for me. I love to read to you. Your stranger danger has started and you love your Mom and Dad the most. MUSIC! Whenever you hear music you start to sort of dance or swing your head. When you have seen live music you are enthralled. We can't keep your eyes off of live music. That is really fun and we look forward to taking you to more of it. Maybe Dad will bring out his guitar and start playing for you soon.
I couldn't be more thankful for you Rowan. You are the most amazing little man and I love loving you and watching you grow. Love, Mom
